Perry Auctions - Press Releases
Scott Perry, of Perry Auctions (formerly know as Scott Perry & Company) , was among Auctioneers from New York State who attended the 2003 New York State Auctioneers Associations, Inc. (NYSAA) 48th Annual Convention held November 14-17, in Utica, New York. The convention hosted seminars, provided timely information and tools for auction companies to use in upcoming auction events and held the NYS Champion Bid Calling Contest.
Scott, a 1982 graduate of the Missouri Auction School, competed and won the prestigious Champion Bid Calling award during the convention. The 2003 NYS Champion Bid Calling Auctioneers will represent the NYSAA at the annual 2004 Convention to be held in June, 2004.
This coveted award has a special "bittersweet" meaning to the Perry Family. Scott's father, the late Jack Perry, had competed in previous competitions and never won. Jack was the founder of the Jack Perry's Auction Service, a graduate of Missouri Auction School I 1965 and a member and Past Board of Director of the NYSAA. Scott , who now runs the company, announced "The Perry Family is looking forward to a third generation graduate in the coming years who will also become a NYSAA member and compete for the Championship."
