NYS Surplus Vehicle & Equipment Auction to be Held Later in the Day at SUNY Farmingdale
New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner Jeanette Moy today announced that OGS will be auctioning three airplanes and three flight simulators on Tuesday, June 27. The auction will begin at 9:30 a.m., with registration and an auction preview starting at 8 a.m., at Farmingdale State College’s Aviation Center, located at Republic Airport, 885 Broadhollow Road in Farmingdale, Long Island.

The airplanes and flight simulators were declared surplus property by Farmingdale State College.

Bidders can participate in the auction in person or by proxy at the auction site. Bidders can also participate online during a live webcast of the auction at https://scottperryco.hibid.com/catalog/458428/au20230627001---farmingdale-aviation where pre-bids are currently being accepted.

The auction site at Farmingdale State College Aviation Center located at Republic Airport will be open for registration and inspections at 8 a.m. on the day of the auction, June 27, but it is strongly recommended that interested buyers schedule an appointment for a thorough review of the airplanes before that date.
​
Prior to the auction date, the planes and their aircraft maintenance record log books will be available for inspection by appointment only. To schedule an inspection, contact Farmingdale State College Flight Center Director of Maintenance Dan Franco at francod@farmingdale.edu or (934) 420-5458.

A government-issued form of identification (e.g. driver’s license) is required to gain access to the Aviation Center for inspections and to attend the auction.
​
Farmingdale State College is the only school in the State University of New York system that offers four-year degree programs in aviation. OGS provides essential support services for the operations of state government, including the disposal of state surplus equipment, vehicles, and real estate.
​
In 2019, OGS auctioned five Cessna airplanes declared surplus property by Farmingdale State College.
On Tuesday, June 27, OGS will also hold an auction to sell surplus vehicles, highway equipment, and miscellaneous property at 1:30 p.m. at Farmingdale State College, 2350 Broadhollow Road, Farmingdale.

PAYMENT- Full payment must be made within 30 minutes at the end of the auction, cash or credit card only. Municipalities, local subdivisions and school districts may also use the form of payment outlined above or a purchase order; however, a letter of delegated authority must be submitted to OGS Surplus Property prior to registration and if successful, payment must be made with 30 days of receiving the invoice.

Removal- Within 4 Business Days from the close of the auction, unless specified otherwise! Removal will be held at the facility where the auction items are located- this will be different for each and every auction. THERE IS NO SHIPPING AVAILABLE! Buyers Premium- Yes, there is a 13% buyers premium on all items being sold!

Sales Tax- YES! Sales Tax will be charged on all purchases. Sales Tax will be collected for vehicles in the county in which you register for the virtual auction with, unless it is a non vehicle purchase- sales tax will be collected in the county the auction pickup is located in. Unless you have a valid NYS Sales Tax Certificate (valid as filled in and submitted to Perry Auctions- as of January 1st, 2022). If you believe you should not be charged sales tax- please click on one of the following options- NYS RESALE CERTIFICATE, NYS ST-125, PURCHASING A VEHICLE FOR PERSONAL USE BUT LIVE OUT OF STATE. Invoicing- Please note however you register is exactly how ALL PAPERWORK WILL BE MADE OUT! No exceptions to this! If you need your invoice/title in a company name- register under the company! If you need the invoice/title in your mothers name- register using her name and address!
